Time now is spent preparing to sail or motor from home port Olympia to Vancouver Island. At 5 kts tides and currents rule the day and between charts, apps, Captain Jacks tide and current book and Waggoners I've been consuming and digesting info. We expect to be three to four weeks on this cruise with departure August 14, 2017. Crossing the Straits of San Juan de Fuca also has my weather attention from Port Townsend to Oak Bay Marina just east of Victoria Canada. Our dog Ensign Wilson will be on deck security watch.
